They are on the rain last. It's an amazing shoe! My pic of the same shoe:

Damn, that tobacco suede pulls some serous color shifting. I was worried about the color of the "new" batch, but those look awesome.

Ya dude, the "new" tobacco is no slouch. I love it! It's soft, supple, and down right gorgeous. For anyone wondering if the "new" tobacco is worth it, I say a resounding yes

Is the best part. Every though inca is supposed to be the "widest" last, it fits so comfortably because there is zero heel slip but luxurious toe room.

Does carmina recraft their shoes? Not on their website.

rain last as what @golfinz has mentioned. Yes the brown suede changing is quite cool not forgetting the quality of the suede. Their napping is unlike any other suede shoes I have owned

Yes they do. The price is €150 (last time I checked with Betty around 3 months ago)

Agreed. I picked up some EG Galways a few months ago (my first purchase beyond the Carmina price range) and was disappointed to find that the suede was not only not better, but actually somewhat unimpressive compared to Carmina's. I've been spoiled!

I'm getting in on a oscar last mto and wanted to get size recommendation. I've got the following carmina shoes:

1) uk6 in a Simpson oxford - the length is a bit long but it works bc of the low instep and the elongated toe
2) uk5.5 in a rain oxford - the heel is a bit loose and the instep is a bit high but I can lace the shoe all the way up where there is no gap, or v, between the laces. The length is good
3) uk6 in a rain derby that is long in length but I can wear due to the lacing properties of a derby vs an oxford. I've tried a uk6 in a rain oxford and the instep absolutely did not work. I couldn't wear a uk6 rain oxford
4) uk5.5 in a rain last shell boot

I have tried a uk5.5 in the soller last, on a short boot, and it fit really nice.

Should I keep my usual 5.5 or size up to a 6 for the oscar last? The boot is a jumper made of CXL, if that helps

Can you share some sizes in other brands? That may help.

Was browsing through carmina thread randomly and saw this burgundy chukka on the right. Very nice! Any idea where I can get it? Googling only return the trading post japan which is dated back I'm 2012. I'm sure there isn't stock from them anymore... Cheers

After almost a month in customs in Spain, my shoes finally made it back to Carmina and I have elected to exchange them for a different pair. I received a message from Betty this morning claiming I needed to pay for shipping for the new pair. I sent her an email back pointing out their exchange policy which clearly states that there is no shipping charge on exchanges.

Does anyone have experience exchanging for a completely different pair of shoes? Did they try to charge you shipping?
