I just picked up my first pair of Carmina shoes! I picked up this pair from http://www.gentlemensfootwear.com.

Mr. Yoo was really awesome to work with. He responded very quickly to his emails and he even went so far as to meet me in LA so I could try on different sizes. He's a really friendly guy - we got to chatting about shoes, clothes, etc. IMO he really went above and beyond to help me get my sizing right. I will certainly purchase more shoes from him in the future.

Nice. Are they in the US? Their web site didn't have any price or stock information.

It's a little overcast so you can't really see the blue hues in the shell. I may try to get another outdoor pic later this afternoon.

Promised photos. I shined up the Tan pair of calf shoes with saphir, which is a wonderful product from the board sponsor "Hanger Project". Still waiting on the deer bone to shine up the cordovan pairs. Thanks to this board for helping me find this great shoemaker. I have had pairs of Aldens, which are great shoes, but very large compared to the Carmina. I will eventually have to put up for sale the burgundy cordovan belt I ordered, which is too small, or maybe find an incentive to lose weight. Shoes are stiff, but have already noticed the soles loosen up a bit and very comfortable. Betty is very good to work with and very prompt with e-mail responses. The shoes shipped Fedex around the 8th of this month and still waiting on the customs bill, but not sure if they would send it. I accidentally stated that they were shipped DHL, but those were the Momotaro order I put in through Japan. I didn't get dinged with customs with that order yet (keeping fingers crossed). I am sure the U.S. will eventually have to become more strict with import duties to get as much taxes collected from us working.

I very much like the shape of Simpson last, too bad it's just not meant for my wider feet.

Great shoes, great pictures, enjoy!

Indeed I have, 1 size down is iffy, I need to go down half in order to accommodate a wider forefoot and toe room as the rain is chiseled.

I'm on the lookout for mto's with rain, inca or forest in EEE in shell at the moment.

Congratulations on the new shoes; they're beautiful. With that being said, this is still my favorite photo. I just got two pairs of Carminas in the same package and loved unboxing them, so I can't even imagine how excited you must have been.

Great selections and enjoy your new Carminas. What size is your burgundy belt btw? I'm in the market for one if it doesn't work out for you. ;P
