And the shoes I have bought from Skoak and GF have come in duty free.  That may not happen in every case, but I'm at a better than 80% pass rate for goods shipped by trackable post across the board.

Of course, with the vendor dipping into my pocket for duties at the outset, my chances drop to 0%.

Not my money ;). Just point out why you are seeing different rates than when you do the conversion.

It personally vexes me to no end, since my savings are in USD and expenditures in GBP. Banks build in a massive commission far beyond what they need to hedge their risk.

Anyway that is a far different issue. I'm sure the OP will be happy with what ever he chooses which will be determined likely by weather or not he reads the GF link before making his purchase. After all the shoes from GF are on the Rain for sure and will ship domestically far quick.

Can anyone say with some certainty that these are on the Rain last? Thanks.

Farfetch has those listed as style 922M. However that doesn't necessarily mean they're on the same last as other style 922 shoes as I found out with an order from that same boutique earlier this year.

I certainly appreciate the desire to support forum affiliates and I'm sure GF is a pleasure to deal with, I would point out, however, that the color they're carrying appears to be the darker Natur Marron rather than their baseline Vegano Marrion, at least to my eye. I do check out their stock from time to time to see if any models catch my eye.

I thought there was a difference as well, but after looking at the two for a while I think there is a reasonable possibility that they are the same color. Especially the third picture.

What did you go with in the end?

Farfetch. Free returns and the color I preferred (I felt the difference was clear) made it a fairly simple choice. For future Carmina purchases I'll continue to check all of the Carmina distributors for selection & pricing.

A fine call. I don't think that one choice was far superior to the other. Please do post pictures when they arrive.

Good model selection at a decent price. Sizes are extremely limited in every model. You need to improve on that a lot unless this is temporary due to Christmas season. Will you stock bigger sizes and specific lasts per request?

Free shipping when buying a pair of Carminas is very nice, even tough I can't understand how you can keep low prices and provide free shipping. After all logistics is never cheap. But definitely a very nice plus for the consumer!

Agreed!

It would be a good idea to post ideas for orders you're about to place as well, and let people secure a size before the order is confirmed.

The prices are actually standard. I think they seem lower because vat is deducted right away.

Correction: the prices are slightly higher than Carmina's web store.

Hey guys,

Are Carmina shoes made entirely in Spain, or is it partially contracted out to China (like Meermin)?

Can anyone comment if the Uetam last is TTS?
