Black calf/suede balmoral boots on the Forest last, courtesy of Skoaktiebolaget: More pics here. This is probably the most beautiful footwear that I own. A big thank you to the guys at Skoaktiebolaget who even included a handwritten note and a little gift

I'm blown away!
Those are wonderful, I wondered how they would look in person, now to decide between those and these http://www.skoaktiebolaget.se/news/80092-robert-grain-boot

How many do you have signed onto your mto so far and what do you mean by open eyelets?

Probably blind eyelets, i.e., just holes in the leather rather than metal rings lining the edges.

Congrats, beautiful boots. I really love my scotch grain bal boots...and the shoehorn is a great touch.

I was under the impression blind eyelets were metal rings inside the upper. I thought open eyelets meant no metal rings but I wanted to make sure.

I'm sure people have seen Carmina Monk Straps before and they're not MTO. But they're my first pair of 'good' shoes so I'm proud. They currently sit next to two pairs of Cole Haans, which will soon change.

Extremely comfortable. No regrets paying over $500 for shoes any more. I've been told I should have gone with more 'staple' shoes first. But when they caught my eye, I had to go for it. Call it target fixation :-D

Nope, no rings inside blind eyelets.

Those caramel monks were my second pair of "real" shoes last year. Not a bad start!

Damn this sounds good, though with green maybe brass eyelets would work? I prefer a chunkier shoe most of the time, rest of the details sound amazing. Now just need to find that 3400 SEK. I'm in for sure regardless

Started the work yesterday so the first is just dropping PM:s to me. By open eyelets i mean the opposite to blind...i don´t know the english term for this.

Do you have any sort of mock picture of this?

I'm very interested.

No, i´m not a photoshop guy but there is pic of both the model and the suede color on skoaktiebolagets site. I just wanted to check the interest and it was bigger than i thought. I will put together a post here with pics and everything so you can see the details.

Skoak has some pics of the 532 on the Detroit last. Not an exact match, but maybe it'll help.

Perfekt. This is the model but it will have a different medallion because the shoe will be on forest and not detroit like the one in the pic.

Seven people showed interest in both models so far.

Sounds great, Frank! I'd like to throw my hat in for brown leather tassels for the loafer. Something like the G&G Nice. I'm also a fan of the way the tassels are just seen in front as opposed to the boat shoe-like threading along the sides. I'm not sure if Carmina will do something like that, but I definitely think it's worth inquiring about if the group has interest in such a thing.
