Carmina Shoes : Reviews, Sizing, Photos and More - Page 419

These are our "Rainy/Snowy Days" Carmina boots for Unipair.  Chromexcel and Scotch Grain can handle just about anything and so easy to clean up.

How does the Forest last compare to lasts in Meermin? I've never worn Carminas before, hence the question.

Looking at these: http://www.shop.carminashoemaker.com/articulo.asp?idarticulo=3640206

I don't have a wide foot.

What do you use to condition those? Natural colored shell cordovan cream?

Yes, neutral.

Condition: http://www.hangerproject.com/shoe-care/brand/saphir/saphir-renovateur.html

Polish: http://www.hangerproject.com/shoe-care/brand/saphir/saphir-cordovan-shoe-polish.html

I haven't had to yet. This is only the 4th or 5th time wearing them.

I generally stick to the mac method, so there wont be much polish used at all.

Look at Simpson as that is a narrow last, Forest will be wider than Hiro / Olfe

Just how waterproof is chromexcel? is it as impenetrable as shell?

Uetam pennies today, fall is starting to arrive here in AZ so this may be their last outing. After one season of wear only a slight amount of creasing, Uetam is the perfect loafer last for me.

Not as dense as shell but it has a waxy finish that will stop too much snow/rain from soaking into the leather.  30 seconds of brushing chromexcel and you are good to go.

What size do you wear? Looks good on you. I've got.. four Uetam loafers.

And nice to see another Phoenix member.

Thanks gents, Mr. J I wear a 10UK in the uetam but 9.5 in most other Carmina lasts. Had to size up for their loafers, goes against what most recommend.

Some Carmina porn from the weekend.

The chromexel boots from Unipair are just killing me. If I didn't have a much greater need for a black dress boot, those would have been mine for sure.

You need the Chromexcel
