I believe the Carmina Paris store had this exact makeup.

It's pretty dumb that the stores stock/selection isn't on the main website. Would be pretty helpful.

Checking the website is different than emailing Betty and asking her. I have never needed to email her but from feedback I have heard she is excellent with any questions/requests. It really isn't that difficult is it?

I hope you find what your looking for but otherwise shell out the extra $$$ and buy the epaulet version

I find that she's great to deal with if the questions are direct and not open ended. I've gotten quick responses from her that way.

Carmina suede boots and chukkas on the Rain last for fall/winter.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  Cheers!

I'll probably just take a trip to one of their retail stores soon.

Very true. But my money is in USD and the dollar has been getting destroyed lately thanks to the halt of tapering. Still cheaper for me to order from the USA in USD and take my luck with the VAT inspector only charging me 20% instead of a random higher number. Skoaktiebolaget doesn't carry my size in most of their models. Neither does Epaulet.

Watch out, the Carminas at macsamillion are all women's models!

Hey guys,

Leaves was kind enough to identify the following shoes as on the Rain last. Before I order another pair, just wanted to get some additional opinions as to the last (the box doesn't have any info).

Thanks guys!

^^^ It certainly looks like a wider-fitting Carmina last. I feel very confident in saying that it isn't Simpson, for example. It certainly could be Rain, but looking at the picture alone I coudn't categorically say that it isn't Inca (see here for an example: http://epauletnewyork.com/collections/footwear/products/salinger-double-monk-brown-calfskin - check out the top-view pic).

Patrick sells a truckload of Carminas, so his educated guess is going to be more educated than most and definitely moreso than mine.

Best bet is to try on a few pairs at Leatherfoot and see if you can find a similar fit.

Anyone able to compare the Uetam last to Alden's Barrie?

I wear 9.5D Barrie comfortably. It is a roomy fit, but a fit all the same. I found Uetam much narrower - I could not get a comfortable fit in terms fo width without up-sizing to the point where excess length would be an issue. If you need the generous fit of the Barrie last, try Detroit, Inca and Rain from Carmina.

I'm looking for a specific model which isn't on the e-shop. Is Betty the right person to contact about this? If so, what's her email address?

+ 1.  Uetam is one of Carmina's more narrow lasts.  Barrie is one of Alden's widest lasts.  In other words, Uetam is on opposite side of width spectrum from barrie.

In addition to the detroit and inca recommendations, Carmina makes a wide fitting on the forest and rain lasts in addition to the normal width fittings offered on these lasts.
