It looks like LF has deleted the original post as well.
With that post removed it looks like the poster was upset about our Alden to Carmina sizing discussion. Makes sense now.

Carmina Jodhpur Boots in Forest Last. I purchased these from the Paris store back in June and have been waiting for the fall to wear them. Here's the link to the small write up I did on them.

Guys,

Myself and Mschapiro are looking for some more members to jump on board for a Carmina MTO suede chukka. We're aiming for a causal to business casual style chukka that no one currently offers. Here's what we have cooked up thus far.

This chukka (Carmina 905 5 eyelet with close heel, flat welt, leather soles)

In Noix suede.

On Soller (or Forest) last.

Any interest out there?

Loden with light tan crepe sole

Rain last or simpson

I wouldn't be against crepe, but I can't have a narrower last.

I'm not sure if Hanoiboy was referring to my post above? I'm not into loden. Definitely would have to be noix, snuff or sand. Not totally opposed to crepe.

Just heard that Carmina may not be willing to do the 905 on Soller or Forest, so how about the 80179 instead?

As below (soller last) but in Noix suede?

Why do people still order dainite? isn't it actually terrible for winter time or is it only good for the rain?

That certainly hasn't been my experience.
