Does anyone else have any issues when looking at Carmina's lasts pages on their website? Not their E-boutique but their main website.

For some reason mine seems to be glitchy only showing forest and simpson last in the normal leather and can only get a couple of those. Can get all the cordovan shoes. Trying to find a model number fof  brown suede simpson brogues.

First wear. Robert last. From the Paris store.

They look great! How does the Robert last fit?

Does Carmina have a round last like forest or Robert but with a sleeker toe box? I like the fit of both but prefer a sloped line to the front.

Robert fits like forest and rain and inca more or less

Love the shoes mr6

Very very nice.  Love the pairing with the pants in particular.

What are you wearing for a shirt/jacket?

Had a question about Carmina pricing. What's the typical cost of a carmina for retailers? (e.g. 40% of the retail price, 50% of the retail price?)

I think a previous discussion said that typical markup is 2.2, but I'd be interested to know if anybody has a rough idea.

My curiosity to this question was peaked when I saw Carmina's for 200 euros at a department store, which is much lower than the typical sale price.

Thanks, gents. I agree that Robert fits pretty much like Forest and Rain. Although, in my case, I have a pair of Forest-lasted shoes a half size larger that fit well. I'm not sure how to account for the difference. I wear the same size in Rain and Robert, though. I think that, compared to Forest, Robert has a slightly longer toe and a little more curve to the shape over all. I find Forest to be a very straight last.

The trousers are Epaulet grey "shadow stripe." I wore a white and grey/brown striped shirt with it. No jacket because my office is relatively casual, and I wasn't meeting with clients. I probably would have gone with a brown houndstooth or navy check if I'd worn a jacket.

How does the toe box on Robert compare with Forest? I've found Forest has a higher toe box than Inca. Is that true for Robert as well?

Do buyers in America get hit with duties when purchasing from Carmina's website, and if so how much?

I'd rock those. And I didn't think I liked the Robert last.

The toe box on Robert and Forest are about the same. Neither last is chiseled. Robert I think has a bit more of an almond shape.

I got hit with customs duties buying directly from the Carmina site. It seems to vary quite a bit by region from what others have reported. I think it was about 8%. Buying from the site is still a great deal, even after factoring in shipping and duties.

Thanks, mrjester! I hadn't really considered the Robert last, but I liked these quite a bit in the store.

Great choice. My Epaulet shadow stripes and snuff or tan suede shoes are one of my business casual summer staples too!

Got a chance to try on a pair of Simpson lasted shoes today. Sized down just a half-size from my normal US size and whadda ya know, they actually fit. And, it was a very good fit too. Whew, now I can buy online with confidence.
