Rain it is. width is always an issue with mto, and Rain provides more flexibility for others as well

Carmina Navy Shell Cordovan Jodhpur MTO

^ built on simpson last. too narrow for most. Rain, being a little wider and yet trim is a fine alternative

Details:

Rain Last
Navy Shell Cordovan
SIngle Rubber Sole
Navy Shell or Navy Suede Strap
Silver buckle

Design of Epaulet's Jopdhpur on Rain Last

Profile of thin single rubber outsole

Navy Shell Cordovan and Single rubber outsole

Top down view of navy shell rain last

Lets get this done well before fall comes around. Pricing should be around $750-800, i hope.

PM for details.

We will have the exact same model coming in (tanned calf, with a medallion) this July/August and also the same model in Brown Calf without a medallion about the same time.

Great job on the design Leaves! I think it looks amazing! I will bow out of this model's MTO till next year smile.gif

Nice work on the U-tip! Which last is it being made on? Will the brown version be vegano or marron?

Thanks! The U-tip will be on the Rain last. Yes, the brown version will be in Vegano Marron (this is the lighter version of brown calf, the darker one is called Natur Marron).

GAH! Those look amazing. I wish I could, but I actually just purchased a pair of brown calf Jodhpur boots in the Forest last from the Carmian store in Paris and I don't think I need two pairs. However, if someone wants to make a Chelsea boot MTO in the future, you'll have my full attention.

In other news Matches have their Carmina offerings at 30% off. A few crazy styles and a few that are probably a little more SF approved. http://www.matchesfashion.com/mens/carmina-shoemaker

Thanks to Jagger_On (although my wallet isn't happy with you), I ended up with a pair of new single monks in the Rain last.

Here they are, fresh out of the box:

And next to the Soller Cordovan boots I'm currently wearing today.

I second this emotion.  I would very much like to get this boot.  I would also like it in cigar cordovan as well.

I wear an "e" width in American sizing making the deia last too narrow unless boots in that last can be made in a "wide" sizing.  If the boot in a deia last cannot be made in a wide sizing, I too would be in favor of making this boot on the inca, rain or soller lasts.

In brief, I would get this boot in navy cordovan and cigar cordovan if made on deia wide, inca, rain or soller lasts.

How much toe box room difference is there between the Rain and Oscar / Forest lasts?
i find forest last to be a touch more generous than rain. both far more comfortable than deia, simpson, alcudia.
