I think most people agree that Moo got screwed and Carmina has handled this poorly.
But I also think most people don't want to hear Moo's continued bitching about it and his Inigo Montoya-esque "you killed my father prepare to die" attitude towards Carmina and anyone who might doubt that he's telling the whole story.

he is not bitching, you guys kept egging him on because lots of you defended betty, idk why, when the thread finally understood and agreed that moo got screwed he stopped agreeing.

thats the point lots of you decided to hold betty to some holy standards in which she is incapable of fucking up. but she fucked up and now that everyone knows this... she fucked up with my order too but handled the situation better thats why i didnt complain.

lets get back to shoes and find sinnedk some nice balmoral boots biggrin.gif

Does anyone knows Betty in person?, is she young?, is she hot?

Betty got back to me. It will take 9 more days, she said, for me to get an answer from her. Not a refund - an answer. lol8[1].gif

Sounds like she needs to check with someone and is unable to authorize it on her own possibly.

I know it's not an immediate answer like one would hope for, however hopefully they'll decide to do the right thing and refund your money soon.

Maybe.

Like someone else said, it's not a large sum of money, so I think I'll still be able to make my mortgage payment next month. It's about the principal of the matter, and the nonchalant, "we'll get to it when we get to it" attitude that bothers me. I was a patient, courteous, no-bullshit customer and in return I get this kind of treatment. If someone doubts the genuine nature of my story, I can post all of the e-mails or forward them to the people who think I'm hiding something. shog[1].gif

Further, there is no personal vendetta. I do not take great offense from Carmina or Betty. I am just simply stating facts, and updating as events occur as they relate to me and only my situation. Perhaps my story will give people a more realistic expectation of what can happen when ordering from Carmina, and they won't have to deal with that kind of issue blindly as I have thus far. I don't see how this is any different from posting a running diary, or posting something positive about a vendor. Do people not want to know the good and the bad?

I am certain that if I were to have a great result, and would post that as an update, the same people who are calling me a whiner/bitcher/moaner for posting "negative" updates would say "thanks for the update - glad it all worked out" etc.

Geez it was just a guess, I have no idea for sure.

Just trying to sound positive, and wish Moo good luck.

Feel bad for Moo....I have always been very careful dealing with Carmina cos I know that the returns process is a tedious one exacerbated by the language issue. I got lucky....online buying is a risk. But luckily most of my gambles have worked out. Some things you just can't remedy. I recently got a pair of Carmina from SKAB where I found the leather a bit coarse and odd...but I am not going to make a big deal because it will distract me from my life which is definitely not about shoes. I paid Carmina, P&F and SKAB with Paypal but since they are paypal registered merchants I never had to pay any commission.

Clearly they are all on holiday. The whole factory is probably closed and she just zapped you a quick reply to let you know she'll pick it all back up when they get back to business.

I have a friend who lives in Inca. Shall we hire him out to investigate?
