-Does the Alcudia fit similiar to C&J's 341 (Alcudia has been described to have an almond shaped toe which I associate with the 341)?
-How is the vegano leather quality, similar to C&J benchgrade I assume?
-Confirming that people keep the same size between Carmina and C&J (e.g., Carmina 6E = C&J 6E)

It may be hard for you to find out how the Alcudia fits unless someone's tried out the C&J 341 and also the Alcudia lasted boot. I have this exact same boot in the Simpson last and it fits differently than a Simpson dress shoe.

The leather is extremely supple and excellent quality.

Unfortunately, I have worn a 341 boot and an Alcudia shoe.
The Alcudia is much narrower and lower. I would size up a half for the Alcudia (eg 6 in the 341 = 6.5 in the Alcudia), but your foot shape may differ, and I don't know how the boot/shoe discrepancy will effect things.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I hear the Alcudia last has a narrower toebox and a low instep. The 341 runs a slight generous for me and I actually have to wear thicker socks. I guess with the boots being jodhpur I can get away with it.

I typically stick to brands I'm familiar with but recently thought about trying a couple new manufactureres. Got Vass recently and now Carmina.

Also looking at a shoe on the Forest last, I assume that is more equivalent to say, C&J sizing?

Care to provide your experience with it? Does the strap provide decent support? My other jodhpurs wrap around the ankle and not have the strap point towards the sole.

Did you size the same way with others UK shoes (assuming you know some)?

How does the oscar last compare to the Barrie? I'm a 9E on the barrie, and I'm not sure about the width of the oscar last. I've read to generally go down 1 - 1/2 from your regular size, how about for the width?

I have this very boot, and a pair of C&J Sydney loafers in 341 last.

I concur to what others have said. The Alcudia is slightly narrower than the 341, especially around the toe. If the 341 has a snug fit for you, you might want to go up a 1/2 size with the Alcudia. Case in point: my Carmina boot is in 8 1/2, while the C&J is in 8 (and I have to put a 1/2 sole in it). I know, it's very difficult to compare a boot and a loafer, but in this case I think it's pretty clear cut.

The Simpson last would be the sleekest, and it's very similar to the C&J 348. I wear the same size in both lasts.

Received the black scotch grain MTO boots yesterday and all I can say is...WOW!! I'm very impressed with the quality and workmanship. I thought the Austerity Brogues were stunning, these boots blow them out of the water. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
