5! i want the dark cognac as well. it would be this wingtip boot:

Last: Rain
Color: Dark Cognac
Material: Shell Cordovan
Welt: Flat
Outsole: Single Dainite
Eyelets: 8 - 4 blind; 4 speed hooks
Lining: Open to anything

You lost me with dainite, speed hooks, and brown edge trim. I'd prefer all eyelets, single or double leather sole, and dark edge trim. :(

A u-cap boot would be bad-ass, though.

yeah, all eyelets is a waste of life. i just cant stand them for the life of me. and im unable to relate to those whose pants get caught on speedhooks. just find a tailor that properly tucks away excess pant leg fabric while stitching it tight to the pant leg

i like your idea of dark brown edge trim - it would look better.

btw, carmina's dainite is great. its more flexible and the single dainite in this makeup has a relatively thin profile; similar to single leather

A dark Cognac wingtip sounds great to me. Don't have too much of an opinion about the eyelets.

Has anyone ever seen/heard of an Adelaide style boot? What I mean is, a balmoral boot with an adelaide throat/broguing which continues all the way up the shaft.

If we could have Carmina make up a new style, I'd be very interested in seeing this! Anyone else?

I've got Carmina boots with speedhooks, and they're fine, but I think they'd disrupt the lines of this boot. (Yes, they'd be under my pants when I wear the boots, but if I didn't care what was hidden under my pant legs, I wouldn't get boots at all.) My Carmina boots also have dainite soles, so I know it isn't particularly visible, I just think leather soles would be better on this boot. In fact, I think a single leather sole would be right for the Rain last. It looks great on Epaulet's ruby cordo boot.

(And I don't know how that : foo : ended up in my post.)

I think a rubber sole would be a better choice. Not only does the Carmina single Dainite look equally slim when compared to a leather sole (see below) - it also makes the boot more versatile for various weather conditions.

Are there any Simpson, Oscar or Alcudia last MTOs being planned? Other than the latest shell boot by SkoAB.

We are thinking about a Simpson last split toe single monk in Tan calf at the moment :)
(model below in Tan calf)

Also will be receiving some Split toe derby lace up in Burgundy calf in about a month or so as well.

I'll speak with Carmina on Monday! Sounds like a nice make up.

I'm also intrigued by a U wing boot. Has this ever been made?
