I just went ahead and ordered them, I can always return them for free if they don't fit. Price was too good to wait on - total with shipping and everything was only $333, and Farfetch pays all duties and taxes. That's a brand new pair of Carmina for the price of AE.

the black capotes are simpson and the brogues are rain. pretty pissed off about the sale since i bought them just a few weeks ago.

You could take consolation that you might not have got them if you had waited, especially if your size is common.

Thanks! This will now be my 4th Carmina, each on a different last. I returned or resold the other 3 (didn't actually return the Rain yet, but probably will). If Simpson doesn't work for me, I'm giving up on Carmina.

I feel you. I love the Uetam and the Simpson. If Simpson didn't fit me, not sure I would be a Carmina guy. It's the perfect last. Hopefully it works for you.

I took the plunge and got the other black captoe in 7.5 uk. It was meant to be; my size, my last, great pricing and gf encouraged me to get it. God am I lucky to have such a supporting person

I just kopped the lucky last pair of these, in size 10 (normally I'm a 9.5 so there's a chance this will not work out for me).

US$455 plus shipping. Exquisite shoes. Here's hoping they're not way too large.

I'm in for this shoe in shell or calf. I have no interest in faux Russian calf (hatch-grain). Simpson last fits me perfectly. I like the looks of Rain; but, I'm thinking it might be too wide for me since it is EE width. Can they make Rain in an E-width?

This is the shortwing boot in saddle shell that Steve from Gentlemans footwear was talking about. I think this is pretty nutty.

This is on the forest last and we talked about dainite soles possibly.

Agree. This is probably the nicest pair from Carmina that I own. Simple is best. You will not be disappointed
