Those cap toes look great!
Which CJ/EG/Vass/Alden/AE last is most similar to the Forest last in appearance? Some pictures make the Forest last look a bit blobby, others (like yours) make it seem slightly elongated...and all the comparison pics I see are minimally helpful and just shoe it next to some other Carmina last I'm not familiar with.

I've got a limited data set for comparison, but I will try to take some photos next to Alden Barrie. Only have AE loafers, and a few random Santonis, none of which will make a good comparison.

My overall take on the Forest is that it is a very elegant last, but it does have a high, rounded toe box. Personally, I like this about it, but there's clearly a lot of interest in shoes with a very different kind of toe.

Wow. That is something. Very nice Carminas. And did you take this photo yourself? It is also very nice. Makes me a little ashamed to post the two below.:embar:

Nevertheless, here's an effort to show what the Forest last toe looks like compared to Alden Barrie (for no other reason than that's what I have) and a pair of Santonis of unknown last. Not sure if this is helpful or not. Assume everyone can guess which is which.

Thanks for posting. Seeing this picture I like the forest last even more than before. Great Shoe!

Ok, so I love green shoes, guilty as charged!

As a long lean and slim footed guy this last isn't my personal cuppa. But these rock, and for a guy of your configuration this last makes perfect sense.

Your photo is artsy and expressive as well.

Nicely played, sir!

come on guys, they look cool but when would one wear the shoes? 1930s prohibition party? or some weird night club

I could wear these any normal week day with navy trousers and an odd jacket. But I do have to admit that my work environment is not particularly conservative business dress oriented.

I remember Nucky Thompson's prosecutor wearing green shoes and getting fired over this in Boardwalk Empire...
