MTO is 50% effective about 6 months ago. Message was received loud a clear. Can you say Skoak?

Thanks everyone - I'll probably try Betty Boo first and get it shipped VAT free to Zurich.
Think I know what I want - but I understand MTO a juicy 30% premium, is this a message
saying they are too busy making lots of RTW shoes or simply we don't want your MTO business?

I never buy anything in Suisse - my hard earned CHF is converted and spent elsewhere.
It's crazily expensive this country.  I rarely touch the stuff, but to give you an idea, took
my little nephew to McDonalds for a Big Mac meal and shelled out $17 USD.

My tea and apple pie was $6

You might call brogue.ch in Geneva, they have some Carmina in shell on sale for about 300 CHF - 60% off.

The owner is very knowledgeable and sometimes ready to negotiate the prices. Their Carminas are not much more expensive than in EU, but they are not very competitive for the English brands.
Last time I was in the shop he was wearing some Saint Crispin's, a brand he would like to sell, but a bit overpriced in his opinion.

Thank you ClausC,

I'll see what they have in store - as 300 CHF for Shell a steal....

I agree with your Saint Crispin price statement, they are overly priced for what you get. They are on par to JL Paris for refinement
and finishing and Vass a close notch behind.....Vass is easily ahead for value/quality ratio....I have a proxy sourcing me Crispin
in Vienna at 20-25% discount to retail...so I can't complain.

Lets see what Carmin has to offer.

Don't forget to take 1/2 size down from your normal size - Rain last+suede.

These are mine:

For Hungarians: Vass I go up half a size - 44
For Spanish: I go down half - 43

I am a UK 9.5 E in most English brand - you're saying I need to go down to 43/9?

In suede Rain - YES. I'm UK9,5E as well in most lasts, and Carmina's 9 is okay for me.

He (at brogue.ch) had only 2 models of Carmina on sale, both in shell. I suppose you refer to these that I bought
