So I'm in the market for a new Spring/Summer loafer. A catch-all that I can wear with chinos and jeans as easily as I can with odd linen/fresco dress trou. I'm a fan of these but am curious to know if anyone here has a pair. I'm especially interested about the last (UETAM).
I was initially intrigued by the "Italian boat shoe" archetype when I saw these at Brooks Brothers. But seeing as how I want suede in a lighter color, the Carmina are ideal. And they are cheaper.
I've been thinking of picking up that very same one! Beautiful. I'm just concerned that it rains too much too far into the summer here to get enough wear out of another pair of leather soled shoes...

They are quite nice. And honestly they are quite reasonably priced. Under $330 after VAT is a pretty solid deal. Especially when you consider the cheapest the BBs went for was still $100 more on the highest markdowns.

Never tried the BB ones so I know nothing about the quality, but looks wise I think the carmina just kills them dead.

As standard the Rain last is a wide last. It's probably not ideal for you as you say you have narrow feet.
I find the rain last quite narrow, however not as narrow as the alcudia which I couldn't get on my feet. Maybe I have very wide feet =)

Considering these for MTO. Probably going for cognac (cigar?) shell - thoughts?

Also, anyone interested to join? :embar:

Alcudia is a queer last. Not sure who Carmina had in mind when the they designed it

Get it started. Should be no problem getting to
6 (assuming that's the minimum)

The colour in the picture is quite true to IRL. This colour is called Vegano Marron, what you're after is the Natur Marron. Like this:

Any chance you're planning to offer the Rain last wingtip like the one above (model 922) but in the darker brown Natur Marton? If not, would anyone else be interested in an MTO of that shoe?

No, not any plans as we have it in Vegano Marron. If you get a minimum of 6 people together for a Group MTO the price is 3400 SEK (2720 SEK ex VAT, approx. $400).

1000

I think this would be an awesome boot, anybody want to start something up? I tried posting in the Epaulet X MTO thread but theres too much going on there so I figured id try here

We're doing exactly this boot for fall in "Camel Grain", but with a York sole or possibly a brown Commando sole.

What exactly does "Camel Grain" look like? And what/how does it compare to the grain used in the picture above
