Some new acquisitions...two from SKAB:

Ignore the datemark

These are the 8.5 2-eye derby on the Rain Last...I gave them the Renovateur treatment and worked up a mirror shine using the Saphir method.

These 8.5 Oscar Last brogues were unworn but I took them out for a spin earlier today and they feel damn fine.

These are UK8 single monks in burgundy shell cordovan on the Rain Last...I had them stretched for 3 days and now they fit me like a glove.

Congratulations on the new shoes! I love that two eyelet derby but just wish they had it in black.

You might be in luck. I initially chatted about the 2eyelet derbys to Betty but she said "only have in black".

So I got mine from SKAB.

It's worth a shot emailing her....they don't have these on the estore but I am sure she can pull them for you from a store if your size is available.

Cheers

apologies in advance for the pita but i've searched without much luck with specifics.
i'm going to have a Carmina MTO which is produced on the simpson last. being that it's reportedly narrower, i'm asking for responses with firsthand experience from owners.

depending on the maker, i usually take anywhere from a 10 to an 11 D. Normally, a 10.5d works very well.

anyone out there with simpson experience who could help ?

The Simpson last is indeed narrow - particularly in the toes.

I wear a 7 in the Simpson and in the Rain (although Rain is a smidge wider)
I also wear a 7 in G&G TG73
I can do a 6.5 in C&J 348 and a 7 in C&J 341
In US sizes I take an 8 or 8-1/2D.

My feet are on the border of medium and wide - I have a pair of suede loafers on the Simpson which stretched nicely but I'm not sure that calf will be the same.

Got a pic of your ptbs?

Thanks, Fiddler. She has to get them from the store but she'll have them next week so I've ordered them
