What is that spectator like white and black in the middle? It's gorgeous.

Looks like the women's section. When my wife and I were in the Paris store 5 years ago, we each bought a pair. I was very surprised at the variety of shoes they had for both men and women.

I think the black & white pair are totally ugly.

I'm so down with the all white pair though. Would rock day in day out.

Banis: is that stitched upper monk in the centre (above) the one you're wearing in conservative business dress thread today?

It looks absolutely fantastic. If yes details?

Can u comment on whether Carmina are gemmed? How much hand-work goes into them?

Yes, those are the same shoes, albeit on the display are shown in cognac colour and mine are in ruby. Both are on the Simpson last.

I don't know whether Carmina is gemmed or not and I don't have information about amount of handwork. I may ask Betty Albaladejo those questions, if she agrees to answer them. As for welting, all Carmina's shoes are Goodyear. They also indicate that women shoes are goodywear welted. Here is a pic of shoes that I bought for my wife.

Those were women. And these are cordovan chealseas in cognac (top row, third from the left).

There were also chelsea boots in green croco, red croco shoes some other fancy colours at the cash desk. But I don't have any pictures. As I was told by the store manager Luis, croco shoes are quite popular among Asian and African customers of Carmina.

I believe all goodyear welted shoes are gemmed and by extension, all Carminas. Maybe DW can confirm this.
