Guys, can anyone tell me how to figure out which last Carmina was using for these? The seller says it's Forest, however I found someone else selling the same model on a different Forum claiming it is Simpson.

http://www.ebay.de/itm/CARMINA-SHOES-SIZE-10-5-TAN-/282197818686?hash=item41b44cfd3e:g:JpYAAOSwYIxX670X

I already have a Norwegian on the Forest last, yet this color is quite beautiful. I checked mine and the "757" Number inside the shoe is the same. Does it perhaps stand for the last?

757 is one of carminas split toe derbies, very like the one on the picture, that most of the times are done on last such as Forrest. Looking at the sale listed its the 757 but I can tell last from numbers so there someone else needs to jump in.

Carmina currently stocks them on their own on Forrest, gentlemens fotwear stocks them on soller and I believe that skoaktiebolaget did a batch on Simpson. All 757 but on different lasts.

Generally speaking an number, either 3 or 5 digits, are Carmina's model reference while Forrest and similar names are lasts that can be found on Carmina's homepage

Thanks. Looks like it will be too risky considering it could be on different lasts.

That pair looks more forest than simpson to me. I think you can email Carmina and ask what last Hackett used for their shoes

Just went to order a pair of the Detroit cordovan derbys, but the price is back up to $975. Not sure if I'm too late or it's another error.

Looks like $750 to me right now ... I think their website has glitches periodically.

Yeah, I did use their online contact form last night to ask about the change. No response email from Carmina, but the website was fixed. You're probably right about it being some fiddly IT problem. Purchased a pair in 7D. Not 100% sure about sizing, but that is the size of my Inca pair of cap-toe double monks which fit pretty well, if a hair short. This will be great if the sizing works.

Edit - I did just notice somethings about shoe trees being included on the Carmina website. Do they come with MTO pairs?

I'm a Brannock 7.5D/E, and a 6.5 UK Oscar fits me well. So I ordered a 6.5UK in this as well. Here's hoping the Detroit last fits similarly enough to Oscar.

I think I read somewhere that MTO pairs do not come with free shoe trees.

Anyone know if there's a way to get my hands on these:

Uetam Loafer in Penny Cordovan from the Armoury

Would it have to be MTO or is it discontinued?

My past two GMTOS from the Carmina web site came with official trees.

My last order of a stock pair from the website came with trees.  Nice perk.
