Awesome, thanks a lot!

That makes it similarly priced to what they sell for from their site (~€315 & no tax).
Might bite the bullet and just order from here before i head to the states, just gotta gamble with the fit.

Will definitely check out the store anyway, still slightly better pricing!

I just received a pair of Bal boots from Steve on the rain. I went with an 8 and it's pretty snug in the toebox...I'm not sure if I'm going to trade them in for a half size larger just yet. Reading your sizing has me strongly reconsidering. Thank you!

I can fit in 8uk too but 8.5uk is perfect blend of snugness & comfort VS super tight on 8uk.

I'm concerned with the instep volume being too great if I sized up a half. How would you compare the UK8.5 rain to the same size in the EG82? Thank you! smile.gif

I would say close but to be honest with you EG fit me lot better vs Carmina & is more comfortable on 82 last.

Has anyone been able to get in touch with Betty lately? I've sent a bunch of emails over the last week and no response. I'm still trying to get my MTO return resolved. This is frustrating, to say the least...

@Carmina really should just hire a customer care coordinator. It's what, 30,000 euros per year to have this person handle all emails, customer questions, be active on this thread and the like. The 30,000 would be worth it purely for non-monetary brand goodwill, but when people who were initially debating on buying know that there is a standard avenue for questions and the like, chances are that the maybe buyers turn into full-time buyers.

So Sir.

A fellow member here had them collecting dust in his closet, so, I chose to help him dispose of them so that he could have less dust and more closet space. :)

Tough job, but someone has to do it.

Thanks.

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for oxfords that will fit for a high instep - could anyone share his experience with the Rain last in wide (EE) fitting? Do I have any chance the lacing will be fully (or nearly) closed?

http://www.carminashoemaker.com/mens-oxford-shoes/adelaide-cap-toe-suede-80406

Here my foot dimensions:

- length: 288mm

- width: 106mm (circumference 262mm)

- instep: 280mm

Thank you in advance for your help!

Can anyone tell me how easy it is to get the feet into a Chelsea Boot on the Rain Last?

I mean the Last itself doesn't really matter I guess, however it is already kind of tough to get my feet into the Rain Desert Boot (I have to open the lacing quite wide). I have never had a Chelsea Boot before and of course Carmina has one on the site in the Outlet section :O

Not sure if I should just take the risk given it will be non-refundable.
