It did by the end of the day. I thought rain had a generous instep. I have come to the conclusion that shoes fit differently even if they are the same last. I have several Carmina 9.5 rain last shoes and none of them have InStep issues, why do these have in step issues, is it because they are whole cuts, is it because maybe they're not rain last, I had that issue before, my split toes we're supposed to be rain but they turned out to be Simpson
It's not just the "type" of shoe that makes a difference.... wholecut, monks, derbies, oxfords, etc.
I'm sure that there are definitely issues with carmina's lasting process. It can be very inconsistent, giving rise to fit issues.
I've had 2 calf oxfords in the Rain last fit almost ENTIRELY differently.
