Can't wait until the weather is appropriate to wear my tobacco loafers again.  Such a great shoe.

Just pulled the trigger on a pair of snuff suede string loafers.  Quality Shop has them for $367 USD shipped.  Only 10UK left now.

I was comparing Carminas I purchased a few years ago to ones I recently purchased.

Is the open vs closed stiching on the sole a change in method or is it a function of the type of sole ordered?  The older version had a plain sole while the newer one had a topir sole.

Tomir sole is always open channel stitching. Leather sole is still closed channel.

Anybody have an idea of the time it takes to receive your order from Carmina directly?  Shipping to the East Coast, USA.  I ordered on Sunday night and hoping to get them before I wedding I will be attending on the 2nd.

How does Rain compare to Soller last?
I am 8.5UK in Rain cap toe. Would a chukka 8E Soller fit?

I've found that my soller shoes, which are a half size smaller than my rain shoes, fit similarly in length but the instep is a bit tighter in soller.  The general recommendation is to size down a half size when going from rain to soller.  I did and it worked well.
