I know I have asked this somewhere before, but does suede stretch more than calf? Also, how do people size Rain last compared to Allen Edmonds 5 last?

For me 10E in 65 and UK 9 on Rain. IMO Rain is way wider in the heel then AE65 and Rain have a higher instep. The front of the lasts are obviously way different but that is rather apparent i guess

I take 10.5 3E on the 5 last, and have ordered 10 EEE on Rain. I could maybe have gone to 10.5 on Rain because the toe and ball are very tight and my toes are quite far forward, but then the arches are already quite wide so maybe it wouldn't have worked. The ball will probably stretch though, so I'm not concerned.

I am planning to purchase the cordovan whole cut and double monk.
I want the whole cut in navy shell cordovan and double monk in burgundy cordovan.
Can you guys share some picture of the whole cut and monk in navy and burgundy shell? I am still debating if i like the shell cordovan in navy colour.
Thank you

Anyone know is the navy shell whole cut in official site in dark edge or brown edge?

i saw some picture it is brown edge

The one on the website looks like a very dark brown. If you want black, edge dressing probably less than $10. Just be careful not to get it on the shell.

From the pictures on Carmina's site it looks like the edge dressing is the same on the blue cordovan as on the black. I have the later and in real life i would say the edge dressing is definitely black, not brown. It's no way near as light brown as on aldennoob's picture above.

Yes suede stretches more than calf leather.

Carmina uses a lot this medium/dark brown edge dressing.  It is a beautiful contrast with navy shell. The laces are close in colour to the edge dressing.

-I wear US 10D in AE 5 Last, but I could benefit from a 10 in E width.

-I wear UK 9.5 in Carmina Rain Last.

-Yes suede stretches more than calf but not enough to warrant going down in size. I own a few pair of Rain lasted shoes in both calf and suede. The suede fits looser.

Thanks for all the input. FWIW, I am a 12D on the Brannock, 11.5E in AE5, and 11D in Alden TB. My calf Chelseas in Rain are 10.5 and are a bit snug in the toe box but now softening up after a couple months of wear. My chocolate suede oxfords that I just got in are also snug in the toe box, and I am deciding whether this is my true size or not before I wear them.
