Good point, it does say cuero. It seems like there are slight variations in the coloring of "cuero" and obviously lighting in the photo plays a big part. I have model 80251 that appear darker and are listed as cognac calf, also referred to on the website as chestnut but the box lists the color as cuero. In the end it seems all of these terms are being used by Carmina to describe the same color so it can be a bit confusing. However, I do believe Skoak is offering a slightly different color they refer to as "tanned calf" which I guess isn't as aggressively colored so the shade is a bit lighter. I guess I thought that was the color of the semi-brogues being sold by The Armoury. *SHRUG*
Either way, the model burnished by Ethan is gorgeous and I would love to be able to do that to my 80251s.
Here's a pic of mine taken with a POS P&S...I guess in the right light they appear about the same.
