^ good visual point to not get too stuck on color names. I've also seen cases where Carmina saddle looks very similar to Alden whiskey.

I should have elaborated more in my original answer, only Alden can call something Ravello or Cigar, but as you can see in zippyh's example, many different shell batches can look remarkably similar. On the other hand, many shell batches that are supposed to be the same color can end up looking remarkably different.

Damn you for posting this. :censored:

I just talked myself out of the Jumper boot and I wasn't even aware of the Epaulet one. I need to unsubscribe myself to some threads before I wipe out our London/Paris fund and my girl bans me from the interwebs.

Perfect! Paris and London have plenty of stores. Def save your monies

Stay in a hostel and put all that money into a pair of shoooz. The shoe will always remind you of the trip and your GF will never forget...

We're staying entirely on points...just trying to keep the shopping budget intact, but patience is obviously not my forte. :D

We're targeting October. We're headed to Vancouver for the long 4th weekend and will start planning and making reservations when we get back next week. My intent is to tour some factories and do some market research amidst the shopping.

I have two boots in these lasts. Wear UK7.5 in both but Rain fit a bit looser. It's hard to say exactly what the difference is because the Rain boot is in suede and the other one is the jumper boot in cordovan. Suede stretches more and that boot is one year older, it could be part of the difference.

Thanx Frank. Are you happy with how the jumpers look after a year of wear?

Just because this has turned into a Cordovan thread.

I don't think we've seen Walnut here yet, and I'm not sure what Saint Crispin's calls it but I would think this is Cigar.
