I wrote to Carmina about the availability of ruby shell cordovan, and was told that they "have style 80105 , Oxford toecap punched , in Ruby shell cordovan" available (though not on the website). A little Googling brought up this pic from a Japanese website:

Anyone know what last that is?

You should ask what last they have it available in.

I guess I should have been more specific with the above question.
I'm currently comparing the RL Lindrick boot with the Carmina Sinclair. I have the Lindrick in a wingtip shoe and loafer (formerly Dalton) and I love the wingtips and want a boot version but I'm considering the Carmina even though they run a little more (taking the RL semi-annual sale which is when I purchased my other Lindricks).
Does anyone own both of these and can comment on their fit, looks and quality? I know this a Carmina chat but I think I can get an unbiased opinion.

Can I bump my own question?

Anyone?

What's the difference between rain and simpson? Rain and alcudia are identical with exception to the toes

I've seen the Simpson in person and the toe cap is quite narrow. Reminds me C&J 348 last. Too pointy for me. My guess is that the Rain is wider. Also, I thought Alcudia is like Simpson, not rain.

Hi Namor,
Proxy from Spain.
Bought the Suede Chelsea boot yesterday. Implored Betty not to include an invoice/printed price tag, but she is quite adamant about marking full invoice....means At least $200 in duty to me...on a $400 shoe!
I would request RKD, but I can't find him..

I've ordered twice from Spain with Dhl as carrier and never got hit with fee. What I paid carmina was the total price. Shipped to Cali

Yeah Simpson is the narrowest. I believe only difference between rain and alcudia is toe, square vs round (disproportionally large) round toe, respectively
