Where can I buy a pair of Carmina's online?  What site does everyone use?  I want a pair of simple black captoes.  Preferably the pair Spoo posted a few posts ago in black.

Here.

I'm sorry if this has been answered earlier in this lengthy thread, but is anyone able to comment upon the difference between the Rain and Simpson and the Rain and Inca lasts?

I know my size in the Rain last, and it fits me beautifully, both across my foot and over my instep.

Should the Simpson and Inca fit similarly, as far as people are aware? Or would it be better to go up or down half a size?

(And yes, I realise that it is always risky to ask about fit information on the internet as everyone has different feet.)

Everyone is too busy jerking over at the Meermin thread atm, but to answer your question, on SF nothing is ever too decadent.

Thanks. That's what I thought too. :satisfied: I think I will buy one of their belts someday.

Rain and Inca fit similarly for me. The Simpson is narrower.

I have one shoe each on the Inca and Rain lasts and they're almost identical except the toe box is more chiseled on the Rain last. I was told to size up a half size (8.5UK > 9UK) when moving from the Rain or Inca to the Simpson last.

Thank you very much to you both - those responses are very helpful.

So, just to be clear:

Rain -> Inca = same size

Rain/Inca -> Simpson = go up half a size (ie if normally a UK8.5 in the Rain/Inca last, get a UK9 in the Simpson last)

Is it only me that , when visiting the website, can view all the shoes on the Rain & Forest lasts but the Simpson is hidden below the Rain last icon???

I've contacted Carmina three times about buying their plain toe derby of the Forest last (Model 955) because it's listed as EE width but they've never responded. I didn't ask any bizarre questions and I was right to the point i.e., I'd like to buy Model 955 Forest Last, size 9.5, can you please let me know how to pay, etc. Is there a trick to getting a response?

So after sending five emails in a span of two months re: buying Model 955, a model on their website but not the e-store, I can't get a response. I've tried contacting them from their website and direct emails but no luck so far. Betty's got me feeling like the ugly duckling here -- what do I have to do to give them my money?

Well i've done a little better than you as at least i have had replies sadly to no avail !! Asked if they had any stock of certain items in my size ijn the Paris shop whilst on a visit there curt answer NO. Asked if they had or would make an item they had in Suede but in calf to be told NO. I must be in the brood of ugly ducklings too............. Shoes look well made and lovely but sadly to my chargrin i just cant seem to get hold of any and will probably throw my money elsewhere.

I just emailed Betty inquiring about a Robert lasted model. I feel like it's a waste of my time to even try. Alan from The Armoury tells me it will be 3 months to get a model of my size back in stock from Carmina. It appears that this may be the only way to go though...

If their in stock, I typically get my Carminas in 2 to 4 days - form Spain to L.A., CA. (from Betty)
