If so, there is very little wear evidenced after a full winter of fairly frequent use. I have no complaint about the sole or any other aspect of the boot. It's a pure winner in my books. When it comes time for sole replacement, I'm pretty sure B. Nelson could give me anything I want from double leather to full Dainite.

I think that's the York Sole.

Well its actually a cross-over between an Adelaide and a full-brogue. A so-called U-wing.

Not the traditional wingtip full brogue, but a full brogue nevertheless

I'm curious to how everyone would compare the u wing made by vass, and that of carmina. (Main difference seems to be the cap of the vass is closer to the toe, while the carmina is farther towards the vamp)

. I think they're great, but personally prefer either a wing tipped version or an Adelaide.

I'd say yes to that, but am I sure? Nope.

That is what I am beginning to think as well. I fell for the shoe in the store, but in retrospect I'm beginning to think about changing it to the "normal" full brogue. And then go for the C&J Westbourne Adelaide. Maybe two in one is not the way to go (I know it isnt when it comes to schampoo).

The guys at Skoak said they would change it if I wanted to. Great service and really nice people working there.

Let's agree on "full-brogue-U-wing-Semi-Adelaide"

Very nice both of them. Really like the Adelaide. Another great alternative is AS Moore.
