I think that's the York Sole.Quote:
I'm not sure if I have experience - is the pic below a Tomir sole?If so, there is very little wear evidenced after a full winter of fairly frequent use. I have no complaint about the sole or any other aspect of the boot. It's a pure winner in my books. When it comes time for sole replacement, I'm pretty sure B. Nelson could give me anything I want from double leather to full Dainite.
They are nice! But not better than a full brogue since they are a full brogue
As long as you are happy, Swede66. But I secretely think you are wrong. We could always agree to disagree on this one? Now, what do you think compared to a standard full-brogue?
As an aside, is broguing and pinking both required for a brogue?
Agreed. I think they're great, but personally prefer either a wing tipped version or an Adelaide.
That is what I am beginning to think as well. I fell for the shoe in the store, but in retrospect I'm beginning to think about changing it to the "normal" full brogue. And then go for the C&J Westbourne Adelaide. Maybe two in one is not the way to go (I know it isnt when it comes to schampoo).
The guys at Skoak said they would change it if I wanted to. Great service and really nice people working there.
Let's agree on "full-brogue-U-wing-Semi-Adelaide"
Now that's a great name
I am not that excited over the U-tip though I know many are. Follow your gut.
And yeah, the guys at SKOAB are great.
