Gdot- Did you have to do a wire transfer? I have purchased from web-store and that was easy.

I know you're not asking me... but that's what I had to do when I purchased from them via email.

I was told at the store in Barcelona that all models in their catalog can be make if a costumer asks for it, even if it's not longer in stock in any of their stores. BUT in this case it's consider a custom order and thus it costs 30% more. Of course for that extra money you're entitled to ask any combination you like from the options they offer.

30% is quite a good price for MTO. Since the euro is weak compared to the swedish krona this means that i can do a MTO for the same retail price Crockett & Jones benchgrade have in Sweden. If it´s true CJ is raising now i March i think Carmina will be a better option if you´re out to buy CJ Benchgrade.

I'm very confused by the brand. Can you only order what's available "for sale" through their site? Can you order the shoes they have shown on their other site with the different colors?

The shoes they have in the online shop is only a small selection of the shoes they stock. Of course they don´t stock every model in every leather of suede option but you can order everything shown at the website. As people said before in this tread, the best thing is to go to the website. Look up what model and leather you want and then send them a email, you can also call a store (Madrid or Barcelona, the Palma store is small). Hope this cleared things a bit :)

I didn't do the transaction myself - it was a group buy.

couldnt do paypal? cheapest wire is like $12.5 from citi online

so i emailed carmina directly (website doesnt have above boots), does anyone know if carmina generally has these boots in stock?
also do they have variations in calf?

Yes, I believe they do generally have some makeup of these boots in stock. The 80184 is the pair of saddle shell cordovan boots I have on Dainite soles. It is on the Oscar last, which is one of the wider ones. When I asked Betty back in October, I believe they only had these in "cognac" aka light cognac aka saddle on Dainite. If you email them and ask what leathers and soles they have available in 80184, I'm sure she'll be happy to tell you. I paid 483 plus 70 shipping and didn't get dinged at customs.

^ I'm wiggling my toes right now! I am very in between a US 9 and a US 9.5 depending on the last, and I took a UK 8.5 in this boot on their Oscar last. I think they usually recommend you size down 1 full size from your true US size. Oscar is a wider last (similar to the Forest), and these boots certainly have extra width for my feet, so I end up lacing them almost as tightly as possible. Hope that helps!

And yes, 483 was the RTW price.
