That would be sick. I would definitely go for that. Frank hoping thats not true. But even so, that double monk in dark brown suede would be insane.

Those look lighter in real life. The color is Polo Suede and the light in this shot shows the shoes darker than they are. However, they are nice and dark enough to wear in winter as wel. This is closer to what they really ook like:

I ordered these two pairs to be delivered in Singapore in UK8.5...first time purchases always make me nervous but let's see how it goes.

And what does it mean?

Skoaktiebolaget is three words put together (this is common in swedish and a example would be, rain and fall makes the new word rainfall)

The words are:

SKO = Shoe
AKTIE = stock (like in stockholder)
BOLAGET = company (the exact mening is "the company")

AKTIEBOLAG is the swedish term for Inc.

So to conclude this swedish lesson. If you translate it directly to english it means "Shoe Inc.".

BTW here's a new Carmina arrival purchased from Betty...she even sent me insoles for free...what a sweetheart. These shoes blew me away when someone posted them a while ago and they're even more amazing in the flesh. The thick stitching is what makes them, without that they'd be rather ordinary looking. This is the first and last time you will see them look so smooth...I intend to **** them up real good...in the rain or any conditions that the weather presents.

PS. These are Cognac Shell on the Oscar Last which is the one you guys are making as your MTO I guess. I am a reliable US9D and sized down half...to UK8.5 for a perfect fit. Oscar and Rain are my favourite Lasts now.

Egad, someone with experience in Oscar and other Carmina lasts! How is the sizing compared to your other Carminas? I'm a US 10, but comfortably wear a UK9 on Inca, and I'm still a wee bit worried about sizing on that Oscar last MTO boot.

Diglett, first off...Oscar is a killer Last....you guys have chosen well. It's what I call voluptuous and yet manages to be sinuous and beautifullly proportioned...I can't imagine its for narrow feet.

In the design above, it projects a presence and authority that would not be out of place at Sandhurst.

Im not a shoe connnoisseur by any yardstick but I feel that they have taken the Edward Green 202 Last and done it right...in my eyes.

I don't think Oscar is hard to fit for length...it's the width that's tricky...if you size down too much it could get a bit stifling in the vamp area where you lace the shoes.

Carmina's maximum width as I understand it is EE...I remember reading somewhere on SF that a EE is still slightly narrower than a UK F width.

I am a US9D and a UK8F confirmed and was going to size down a full size to UK8 but fate and Betty intervened to say that the 8 they had failed the quality test....so I took the 8.5 and it's perfect....I don't even need the insole that Betty sent me with the shoe.

It's the same for Rain....I sized down by a half from my US size and they fit me real good.

The only last where I went down a full size was with the Inca Last double monk...and that is an excellent fit.

My assessment is, for Inca go down a full size...for all others, by a half size to be on the safe side.

I would rather wear a shoe with an insole rather than one that constantly pinches me to remind me I should've paid attention to sizing more carefully.

Of course not everyone will agree as even US9D feet differ. My feet are a bit fuller in width although they don't look broad or splayed...my right foot is a bit larger than my left and I suspect the vamp area on both my feet is higher than the western foot.

Oscar is such a great shape that it's worth getting the size right.
