Clearly the best option if for us to all order both sizes and choose when they get here

Would it be a better option for us to change to something like the Robert because the sizing is better known? It's starting to seem like the Oscar is one of those, you have to try it on, lasts.

FWIW, here is some experimentation at the Armoury...

Carmina
Inca double monks 9UK snug but doable, 9.5UK a bit loose.
Robert 9UK length ok but width tight, have to go 9.5UK.
Simpson same as Robert last.
Uetam (suede loafers) 9UK good with no socks doable with socks too as it will loosen up.

Barrie between sizes 9.5D and 10D and I have both, 10 being more comfortable.
Trubalance same as Barrie.
Van 10D
Leydon 10D could do a E.

Some like snug some like comfort from beginning, also material of shoes make a difference.

Oooops :embar:
The MTO thread got deleted "because it infringes on the privileges of our paying sponsors". You learn something every day :)
Got a email from Skoaktiebolaget and they told me they sent a group PM to those who signed up earlier. If you didn´t get it PM me and i´ll forward it.

wtf why? there was/is a trickers/alden mto thread no issues with that

I don't mind creasing, so for me...
Oscar last, shell boot, medium to thick socks = probably 9.5UK
I believe there is gonna be a bit more length but can't go lower for width.

Google let me to one of the shop owners instagrams, looks like it's a pretty round last, but not that wide compared to Alden?

Top looks like Grant last.
Bottom 100% sure Oscar last.

Oscar last looks better!:slayer:

Would there be enough interest in getting a boot made in almost the same style, but with double leather soles and a reverse welt? Probably Robert/Oscar last, 4 eyelet, 3 speedhook (So it would be slightly lower on the leg). Otherwise I'll just put an order in with Frank.
