Great time to buy Carmina or anything Euro related (I.e. Vass and Meermin).

Last month I placed an order for Meermin and Carmina boots and have since "lost" $115 on the conversion

My cordovan wingtips are finally here, took them a week to send out, but only 2 days to arrive:

Don't know why they look so dark. But they are actually much more vibrant, and not at all dark. I ordered an 8, and it's exactly the same length as my 8.5 EG that I also received today, though the EGs are a bit less tight around the vamp. I think these might be closer to US8.5 in other brands, as my C&J for RL in size 9US is a little bit longer. Been wearing it the whole day, they're still a bit tight but hopefully they're stretch out.

Beautiful! I reckon it's just the lighting and camera settings that make them look as dark as they do. Try experimenting if you're so inclined.

The User "Kamil" at the London Lounge posted this picture in a Thread about Shell Cordovan:

Its the Carmina wholecut in cordovan, how do yall like the creases?

Well, it's probably hard to avoid in the long run, or what? How old are they?

Edit: I see on LL that he writes that they are shown "after several months of intensive use". Perhaps he hasn't got a good rotation of shoes, and no shoe trees. Who knows.

Can the shell experts in this thread chime in?

Here's one that is more accurate. Unfortunately, it's still a bad photo, I need figure out how to take better pictures

Heh! We use the same shoe trees! Just keep experimenting with the angles and lighting and you'll find something that works for you. Also, feel free to play around and do some post processing with a program like Google's Picasa. You'd be surprised how they could turn out.

By the way, the shoes look so vivid against the wood that they almost look like they're floating or have been cut and pasted from another image! Very cool!
