New GMTO up. Very pretty, but I don't have the slightest idea how you would wear that.
These are interesting, but I don't understand how shoe manufacturers think this will be cooler in hot weather, given they are lined.
I think they just look "summery". I had a pair of AE woven shoes that were lined, as well, and they really weren't noticeably cooler at all. At the same time, I think these wouldn't hold up well structurally with no lining. I'm not even sure if Carmina makes any unlined shoes.
Navy works really well with green and grey pants, and while I think the bright green cordovan boots are kinda hard to wear, they do seem to work pretty well with brown tweeds. But I don't think the green and rubi cordovan are aimed at people who want something subtle, either.
I like the Allen Edmonds edge dressing which come in an assortment of colors. Not only are the colors well varied but the felt tip applicator is narrow enough that it minimizing the chances that the dressing gets the upper when sloppily applied. I once had a ham handed shoe shiner ruin a pair of light colored boots by streaking edge dressing on the upper with a chunky Kiwi brand edge dressing. I think the cost is about $4 for the AE dressing.
My navy shell Jodhpurs from Carmina for the GMTO organized for reddit.
