I've used the Saphir navy cream and wax polish on my Carmina single monks in the same leather and I didn't think it darkened the shoes. I would have actually welcomed a little darkening but either way I've been happy with the results.

Thanks for confirming. I use the cream on my Rancourt Venetians which seem darker than the Carminas.

I was just in Shoemart in Norwalk CT and they had Carmina at a 20% discount. As my wife aways says, "that's real money!"

I think the discount is only good in store. I scored a pair of black, captoe, single monks on the Rain last. Was tempted to do more but a month back I got the singe monk in suede from Epaulet. My wife just ordered me my birthday present- split toe Norwegian monk from Leatherfoot. I have to show some restraint. I don't know why but in the past year since discovering Carmina, four of the five I hae gotten have been monkstraps.

Great shoes and great value.

I ordered from Carmina directly and had to pay 18% duty plus GST. I was ready for that. What I wasn't ready for was a pair of cordo chukkas they built on the wrong last. What a disappointment and what a PITA.
I was going to order a cordovan chukkas from Carmina directly. Can you expand on what you mean buy "built on the wrong last"? Thanks!

Kent Wang has Saphire Nvy cream/polish as well.
Are you liking these? Versatile? Thinking about pulling the trigger.

Pull the trigger man price is great and shoe is amazing. Calf is buttery soft, color a bit lighter than I would prefer but not by much

Hi NAMOR!

It is $875 which includes free shipping, no sales tax outside of CA, and free gift choice of either abbeyhorn shoe horn or saphir renovateur cream!
From my personal experience they feel similar to Simpson but slightly wider.

Cmon let's get 3 more for this pair, where else do you get a loden suede boot?
I'd be down if it were a captoe or even just a brogued toe with no cap. The colors are great, but I just can't get myself to like that design.

I'd be down for that, all I really want is a loden shaft and brown bottom, captoe sounds great
