I wanted to buy some more but I finaly decided to experiment one pair first to see if it fits me well before spending more money in that brand.

Since you're living in Paris, you might want to take a look at Calceon who is offering 50% discount:

Yes. Given how busy they must be with both wholesale and retail operations, it is a surprising delight that they still take the time and care to provide good service to individual buyers via telephone.

Hehe it is already in my today agenda smile.gif !
But to be honest I'm kind of broke right now... I went to the John Lobb store this week and bought two pairs of oxfords. My shoe budget has been more than reached for this year but who knows shog[1].gif ...

My wallet is so glad I'm in Hong Kong.  Otherwise I would be all over the G&Gs....

For the Detriot last,

Do you guys generally size down half size or one full-size from the Barrie?

I feel like I can probably do a full-size but it can be rather tight. I'm definitely half-sized down from the Rain and I take the same in the Simpson.

So...

Barrie - 8.5D

Rain - 8UK

Simpson - 8.5UK

Detriot - 8UK can "probably" squeeze into 7.5UK.

Thoughts?

These are still leftovers from last winter. No new Carmina shoes were added to the online stock of the Farfetch online boutiques last season. :( I missed out on some great black monks in my size on their last winter sale.

Guys I am very sorry if this has been discussed before I did try to search but I am looking at pair carmina I saw for sell at epaulet and not sure how there calf skin compares to alden, crocket and jones, and vass. These would be the calf skin shoes that I currently own.

personal opinion but Carmina calf at least equals Alden and C&J and might be a step below what I have from vass but not by much

For Calf:

Excluding Vass, I would pick Carmina.
