And why is Kev on the deal- is he selling these newly-to be anointed SF approved shoes?

Kev is on the deal simply because he is in the market for a pair of Double Monks maybe from Carmina pure and simple. Is he selling Carmina shoes ? why dont you just ask me instead of being a prick? The answer would be, yet again, a simple no. I dont have any horse in any race. So why dont you actually add something to the discussion, just remember your among the grown ups.

I'm quite chatty with the guy at the Spencer Hart concession in Libertys - I might pick his brains over it.

awesome, if nothing at least this would add to the choice for cordovan selection

Kev, where I come from grown ups don't call each other 'pricks'

That leads me to conclude that we are from different places, which is fine as it takes all kinds- you know upstairs and downstairs kinda of thing.

As for adding to the discussion on Carmina's merits I am afraid it is not possible as there is none. It is clear this is simply a marketing exercise, in which you seem to be participating –either as a naïve bystander (which I doubt) or as a commercially interested party.

I mean for god sakes a ‘player’ like you just happens to be infected with the Carmina influenza at the same time there is such a push??

For each Carmina that just got a website working there are tens of much better 'unknown' shoe makers across Italy alone. And even then we know that from time to time we get the occasional chancer from Italy coming over and posting their newest and greatest handmade shoes

Oh God gives us Carminas

Interesting. The one thing I have to say in regards to that, is that evidently a whole lot can change in 5 years in the shoe business. Since that post, G&G has been created, we have had massive exposure to Vass, and Grenson Masterpiece is essentially defunct. I am not saying that what KP said is even remotely incorrect, but since I never handled Carmina up until now, I really can only comment on what I have seen. In my opinion, I would put them above C&J handgrade, personally. They may be made to a higher standard though for The Armoury? I am not sure. Thanks for pulling that up though, it is always interesting to see some necroposts.

Well If

1-you would put them above C&J handgrade-personally nonetheless-
2- The armoury (whatever that may be) sells them

it is case closed. These things are the best RTW shoe available over the internet

Lets not forget Spoo and the Balearic connection :slayer:

+1, may be one of the worst posters as of late, and clogging up a thread dedicated to a really great brand of shoes.

This seems like as good a thread as any to ask - I may be traveling to Barcelona in the fall and was wondering:

(1) Does the mythical Inca factory on Mallorca actually exist? Has anyone seen it with their own two eyes?
(2) If it does in fact exist, does the factory actually sell seconds?
(3) Is it a ***** to get from Barcelona to Mallorca? Is the ferry really eight hours?

Thanks in advance . . .

1 a.) yes
b.) yes(not me)
2. no
3. sounds strange
