Love the tan edging meets navy blue upper. Tops. You need to hit the uppers with some polish methinks to waterproof them a bit. They will look great knocked about in a few months and a few long lunches.

Blue and brown seems to always equal win.

Your are right about the need for a little polish. All I've done so far is one coat of Reno for moisturization.

I don't want to shine them up like a dress shoe, I'm thinking some cream polish will probably be enough.

 

They look great, G. Did you take your normal size in these? What's the fit like?

Yes I took my normal size in these. I have other Carminas on the Simpson and Rain lasts and would say these fit comparibly. Perhaps a bit wider than the Simpson in the toe box - more like the Rain.

I had to make a return and it has been taking forever to arrive. I know other people have had this problem too. I sent the box July 28, and the last available information from searching my customs form number are these two lines:

Priority Mail International Parcels Customs Clearance August 14, 2012, 8:13 am International Parcels
Processed Through Sort Facility August 14, 2012, 8:11 am SPAIN

Has anyone else who has made a return to Carmina seen this? I thought it meant the package had cleared customs on the 14th, but perhaps not?

did you ship ups or fedex? usps is the quickest

USPS. It's been about 5 weeks at this point. Oddly, I just sold a pair of sunglasses to a guy in Spain through B&S and he got them in a week or so.

Going back through this thread and enjoying the shoe porn, I saw this post and figured I would repost the photo that i posted in the epaulet thread.

 

These boots are awesome.  I love the leather.  It is meant to be pretty durable but still looks quite elegant IMHO.  God I can't wait for a cool or rainy day to wear these!.. Damn 95* September days with 90% humidity!

Oh also, I just got turned on to Carmina a couple of months ago.  Do they restock their estore often?  Should we expect any new boots for the fall?  I REALLY want some balmorals, but missed the Epaulet MTO and they do not plan on bringing any in any time soon... balmorals (not the all suedes on the site) with some type of rubber sole is what I am looking for in particular. 

Balmoral... rubber sole... does not compute.

^ Carmina has a very low profile rubber sole, much thinner than dainite. my navy shell bal boot has the rubber sole and is almost indistinguishable from single leather
