I'm quite short 5ft 6" and am quite thin (have skinny arms) will Hugo Boss/Armani shirts be suitable for me? If not can you recommend me some shirts that will fit. I am prepared to pay £100+ for a shirt that fits.

I'm also skinny as well (5'7", 120 lbs)...

I can't speak on Armani but Hugo Boss makes shirts in Slim Fit...I've tried on the Traditional Fit I belive it's called and they didn't fit very well at all...too wide and baggy. I do have a HB Slim Fit like I said, and it fits pretty good actually. I usually wear a 14 1/2, but had to get a 15 because it was the only one available and I found it to fit very nicely in the body. The sleeves, near the biceps, are a little baggy, but most shirts are like that on me, and I find that it overall fits better than most brands.

Agreed, Hugo Boss slim fit are some of the best fitting wise. You give a little bit on the quality, but everyone knows that fit is King.

HB shirts are great! You can find them on sale at Bloomys and Macys (if you dear go there, hahaha) for $50-70. I've had some for a few years and they look fresh.

What are your thoughts about RL Regents shirts? Would you pay $95?

Regents are great!!!!! Beauty in a shirt. $95 though, I don't think I would pay that much...but I wouldn't pay $95 for any shirt at this point in my life, so take that for what it's worth. I picked up a Regent at TJ Maxx for $25.

First pic is the Regent and second is the Hugo Boss Slim Fit (note: the HB is a half-size big in the neck)...

Was never here for the "Golden Era", but this is outright ridiculous.

Z-Zegna also does a very fitted shirt, like drop 8-9 or something. Not sure on the prices though, and they seem to have some weird side seeming (anyone else notice that, it's like darts diagonally across the shirt)

@ Lil, the shirts look a little short in the sleeves, but being RTW, we can't expect perfection. No one outside SF would notice, I'm sure.

@ OP, if your willing to spend up to 100 pounds, have you thought about MTM? Too much measurements? Anyway, don't know what's available in Britain, so can't give you other RTW options.

Yes, I have thought about getting a MTM shirt from Eton specifically. The only problem is I need a few good quality shirts asap for work. I hate wearing my Next (british high street retailer) shirts when everyone else is wearing the likes of Paul Smith, Hugo Boss etc!

@Lil - the shirts look great!
