See this is the one point that I disagree with on the face of it. Unless the business is a linen supplier, I don't think anyone can say that it depends on the industry.
Here's the thing. Linen wrinkles. That's what it's good at. So you show up to just about any interview, and no one is going to say "Hey, sweet linen suit." All they're going to see is a wrinkly suit.
Also, I don't care if you live in New Delhi, you should still wear wool. That's why manufacturers have created 7 oz. tropical wools. As many on here should know, wool is a natural thermal regulator, so if things get too hot it actually keeps you cool. If you're still concerned, buy one of the many specialized "cool" jackets made with a rayon blend.
If, however, wearing a suit is simply too formal for the interview, then just wear wool trousers, shirt and tie.
In no circumstances should linen accompany you to a job interview. Not even if it's a pocket square.
