Airbnb for 5 days in manhattan - yay or nay?

I'm going to manhattan end of June and can afford about $100/night for accommodations. Hotels are limited to tiny rooms with shared washrooms. Airbnb looks tempting but I don't even know what to look out for. Any suggestions?

Try priceline, I've gotten sheraton midtown for $125 before

Are you looking for bargain basement like $50? For this level, Airbnb is ideal. Worked fine for me.
