they are Peal & Co and made in england. C&J? Alfred Sargent?

I think some of the lightweight line is C&J.

Yeah? Interesting call, and thanks - I'd not considered them as there's nothing that, to me, would have obviously led me there. There's something familiar about that 'TWCS' or 'TWGS' but I can't think where I've seen it before...

I've seen reference a few places that Cheaney does some work for Paul Smith, and even though the dovetail rubber cleats may be more common, I've seen those heels on a couple of Cheaney's. I don't think that's enough to say with certainty, but I think it's a possibility. The inner labeling doesn't quite fit, but I've seen makers change that for certain stores, though not usually.

Unfortunately not yet. I impulse bought it and will post the tag when it comes if not identified before then. This is the whole coat if that gives any idea
