HOF: Labels, heels and nail patterns - Secrets to ID the maker - Page 195

Thanks for the info. Style is nice, quality is good, but combination of both is a winner. Unfortunately in this case it seems that this coat just has style :(

I shall leave it for someone else then. Thanks again.

Hi all, I'd really appreciate some help here.

These shoes are clearly well made. Built like a tank. The logo is faded, though, and all I can make out is 'Fatte a Mano' on the top line and 'Made in Italy' on the bottom line. Does the nail pattern ring a bell?

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

i just browse st.andrews on ebay, and find this seller says it's andrews.

i'm not sure because the buttonholes seem machine made.

I picked these up from Yoox and wondering who the maker might be. They were made for Gruppo Clark. There are numbers along the inside of the heel, but no other identifiers other than on the soles, pics below.

Any writing on the inside wall?

Only the numbers 80242 together and then 7 about an inch away, and the size. Nothing else is written on the inside.

Was hoping more to see the font, though that is less helpful on Italian shoes.

Difficult to get a shot, but I think you can see the font well enough in this pic. Thanks for the help!

I need some help determining the maker of a boot.  My guess is C&J - based on the heel, but the inside writing is kind of throwing me off.  Also, based on the writing, can anyone help me identify the size written?

Ironically enough it is made for Hilfiger...

What leads me to believe C&J is another pair of Hilfiger shoes - with the same heel and clearly made by C&J based on the inner writing

I found a link to a pair of Ben Silver shoes - made by C&J that are exactly the same.

http://www.bensilver.com/The-Westminster-in-Tobacco-Suede,11391.html#.VmUqBry7dE4

But for the life of me, I cannot find the boot model above made by C&J anywhere.

Thanks!

I think you are right.

@Snoogz could it be the difference between hand and bench grade? Sorry I have no idea on size.

I think I've read every page in this thread looking for that type of script on a shoe. No luck. I also trolled Ebay listings trying to find something equivalent. Does C&J make special shoe-makeups for other companies outside of their own normal shoe styles? I couldn't find this style boot anywhere with the double leather sole, and same side stitching used. But that heel pattern is spot on, that's what keeps me going back to C&J. And then I'm burdened with the size written. My guess is 11.5 written "1 11.5"?

C&J does special make ups all the time. Looki at the sole, have you compared it to trickers?

Edit: it's made by Trickers.

Omg your totally right!! Was right under my nose to! Damn.

So with trickers the sizing would be UK 11 and the 5 represents the fit.

Where did you find those? And which TF locations can you find good stuff like that?
