I don't think Joseph Abboud makes their own suits. That's a Southwick tag (they make Abboud suits).

Nevermind.

Are we sure it's Southwick? Can someone post a shot to confirm?

As far as Abboud making their own suits, at least as of about a dozen years ago, when they split from GFT, they took the manufacture facility in Rhode Island with them, and they were definitely making their own stuff.

Not anymore (as of last year anyways). I saw a few of their suits at an outlet and they also had the Southwick tag. I think I remember them being half canvassed too, but not positive on that one.

Edit: Here's a pic (post 9 in the thread):

Any ideas? Is there a signature broguing database? I've been told the inside numbers, etc., have faded away.

about 4 months ago, I was looking at a saks house brand suit (made in USA, not Italy or asia) and I wanted to know the maker. They looked it up and it was Joseph Aboud.

I suppose they could still contract it out, but it wouldn't make sense to me, because saks would chase the direct maker to get the cheapest per-unit price.

I agree, no way on Southwick.

Dude, Abboud makes their own stuff. The tags that you are claiming are Southwick are Abboud.
