Actually, i'd say closer to a 12.5, but I could be wrong.

So, the footbed says "Essex Footwear."

But the heels have a ton of nails.

What are the chances that these were actually made by one of the grail makers that mega-nails the heels (even though the rubber insert thingy is straight, not trapezoidal)? (PS, I couldn't find much online about Essex)

Honestly, I  own both, and I see no differences. So what is false in name, is not false in quality. :nodding: ...I don't think anyone would mind.

Nope. Cheaney/Church's. I get the two mixed up on vintage Brooks Brothers.

Here's another pair. Mark Shale looks lik AE script with Johnston & Murphy heel. 270 welt.

Script does look like AE, but that insole and heel (could be cobbler) does not match up...hmm

Edit: if Im reading that script correctly it shows a double width "D / D" which AE doesn't do...

This is the label in a linen SC from "Theodore Spago". Any insight? Thanks!

One for the archives. I thought this was Caruso, but I don't know for sure.

Size is 11 D/B combination sizing like Alden, J&M, Hanover. This pair is very nicely made.
