http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...arp-black.html The only man wearing his trousers at the proper length is Prince Felipe of Spain. Everyone else is swimming in a puddle of cloth. Actually, Rowan Atkinson somehow manages to have too much break yet without looking so messy. A mess:

meh, I don't think they're as bad as you state. They're not up to the SF standard but the first pic I saw, of Becks, is not out of keeping with traditional norms. On the other hand, I am going to have nightmares about this:

Yeah, a few of the outer figures are too long and David Cameron's (but, hay, go figure!). Becks' are fine. You know, the modern cut is for them to just touch the floor. This whole just touch the shoes thing looks way too dated, for me/the trousers hang badly/sway too much.

beckham looks 'aight, non?

it's like every barmitzvah I go to, somebody's dad reaches back into the closet for 'his suit' that gets worn once a year, and has been for 20 years. he puts it on and thinks, 'ah, perfect', when it's actually a baggy ill fitted mess, but hey, it's only once a year so why bother getting it tailored or buying a new one?

I'm shocked that this thread exists. Not one of my pairs of pants actually fits properly, so I would provide ample opportunity for pictures on a daily basis.
It's not easy being a man. Fortunately, this issue here is not one that bothers me. No woman I ever dated commented on my pants that were too long.

I see Victoria Beckham went with a subtle ladylike shoe. Classy.

First man to ever claim women don't find him too long.

My hat is off to you.

Yeah, apart from physically looking worn out (aha!), Vic Beckham actually looks good! That is a rarity.

Yeah, his look fine, there's nothing wrong with some break. What I really want to know, is wtf Tara Palmer-Tompkinson was thinking:

Beckham's break looks worse in the other picture of him that I didn't post. If by 'traditional norms' you mean the excessive break that began in the mid-20th century in the American ready-to-wear industry, in which more and more men bought their trousers off the rack and never even bothered to have them corrected by an alterations tailor, resulting in a lumpen silhouette, then yes. Traditional norms of tailored clothing are another matter...

Forgive my ignorance, but who is the lady in the second photo of the first post? Quite stunning really.
