Can anyone suggest how to clean oriental rugs?

Spot treat with very mild soap (baby shampoo) and then vacuum the moisture out and blot w/ dry paper towels.

Or better yet. Pay the 2$/sq ft to have it professionally cleaned. No one wants a moldering old wet rug in their house.
