Wearing ethnic clothes

Thread Starter
Especially to you Korean guys out there, on styleforum, do you ever wear ethnic clothes.
There is a lot of love here for tight-fitting tees from engineered garments in the case of Jet. but do you wear ethnic clothes to reflect your ethnic identity?
I mean, do you Korean guys wear nice Korean robes?
Do you Persian guys wear nice Persian clothes?
We have <<Wear a hat Day>> at work today and my fez was mistaken for a shriner's cap and I was partially offended, and it made me wonder how much of the ignorance permeates into styleforum also. I want to get and wear a sarong but I fear it may be used to misconstrue my sexuality also. n.b. this thread is just about <<ethnic clothes>> not a war zone.

my dad pointed out to me that the middle eastern garb is popular amongst designers now, as a result of me showing him too many damir doma pics

he said, "The euro thing was done, the americana thing was done, and now they are moving onto this type of clothing"

i have a few kva tops that look like "kurtas" (i think).

we need persian bro number 2 to chime in
