I sent my Alden's into B. Nelson on 03/13 - It'll be interesting to see when I get them back.

I don't see pricing on his website for flush metal toe plates??

I recently dropped off and received my RL Marlow shell loafers. C&J wanted $210, BN charged $90. Was very pleased with the results.

$35 each pair. They do an excellent job, think I've taken about 5 pairs over to them in the few weeks I've been over here in NY

IIRC $45.

Edit: Perhaps I did not recall correctly.

Question, say I want to resole a shoe originally Goodyear welted with a leather sole - it's now dead and I'm considering putting a Vibram Cristy or what not - does that qualify as a casual shoe for $60?

Pretty sure it's $35, unless they recently raised the price.

I emailed Nick about this last year for some Allen Edmonds goodyear-welted rubber-soled shoes.

Are they good for the $60 casual footwear treatment or would they need a higher-grade recrafting?

We can put a Vibram sole on them.
$60.00 plus S&H.

Best,

Nick

I just wanted to let everyone on here know that Nick just did an AWESOME job on my Alden 660's. It took about a month for the turn around. A week to get there and a week to get back. All in all you're looking at about 2 weeks to do everything. I am impressed and I want to have my LHS beef rolls done with a Dainite sole but that will cost me $150ish I have been told.
