basic white Tee's

Thread Starter
i'm looking to buy a quality basic white tee, with pocket or without, crew and v-neck, any specific brand/style recommendation?

i've heard that alternative apparel has some good choices. but i'm leaning toward james perse's although i know it doesnt get much love around here) any other brand to look for? should/not i go ahead with james perse (although they are on the expensive side)

would appreciate any input

tell me, do you think a t shirt question should be posted in a new thread or the simple question thread? on a scale of 1 - 10 how special are you?

I think its a question that has wide enough interest to be worth a thread.

I personally buy all of my coloured t-shirts from John Smedley (I only have a few that I rarely wear).
White tees I get from Sunspel. Great tees but a bit pricey for a work-horse white tee. However, I've never seen a nicer white t-shirt at a lower price, so yea :] .

Yes, and the thread's been done before. I think the best place to shop would be SearchBar

The Calvin Klein 365 line. They fit great and are at a pretty reasonable price point. They come in white/black, v-neck and crew neck..you'll be to find them anywhere.

Relax Forum mod over here. I've used the hanes from walmart, after 1-2 washes they shrink like crazy. But it's okay for an undershirt. I'm going to try the kirkland next from costco.

Calvin Klein Black V neck for fall winter, white for spring summer.
Comfy and doesn't fade.

I second the vote for Costco Kirkland brand undershirts. Sadly though, they don't have v-necks -- crew only. I can only find white at my local costco but I saw gray color at a Costco in a different state. Should have picked em up!
