Any experience with Diesel Black Gold jeans?

I know Diesel jeans are about as cool as Mercury here, but do any forum members have experience with their black gold jeans? I saw some straight fit ones online that look excellent but wonder if they're saddled with the same (i dont know what) stigma as their other jeans.
